View Our Approach

In India despite laws that recognise & protect their rights, PwID’s are regularly mistreated & denied basic human dignity. They are stigmatised & widely considered less deserving of opportunities for education & employment. This in turn impacts their ability to access the prospects, privileges & resources they need to achieve their full potential. This makes the work we do at Jai Vakeel not just important but urgent.

In order to address this need jai vakeel has developed a two-part intervention model.

In the SHORT-TERM we aim to improve outcomes for all our students helping them lead more independent, self-sufficient lives thereby creating proof points of what is possible when our children are given the opportunity and required education.

In the LONG-TERM by increasing awareness and sensitising the community towards our students and integrating them into the wider community we strive to make the world more accepting of and inclusive towards our kids.
