Aside from their physical and mental afflictions, they suffer more disturbingly from sheer neglect and stigma. Limited access to medical, educational and support services for the vast majority of intellectually disabled individuals is a far-reaching dream. This makes the work we do at Jai Vakeel not just important, but urgent.

In order to address this need jai vakeel has developed a two-part intervention model.

In the SHORT-TERM we aim to improve outcomes for all our students helping them lead more independent, self-sufficient lives thereby creating proof points of what is possible when our children are given the opportunity and required education.

In the LONG-TERM by increasing awareness and sensitizing the community towards our students and integrating them into the wider community we strive to make the world more accepting of and inclusive towards our kids.
